Then, dogs of all breeds will take to the air, as the Houston Canine Frisbee Disc Club will hold a competition in two divisions. Also scheduled to perform are the canine cast of "Pets Overboard," an entertaining pet-centric show. Plus, face-painting, hamster balls, doggy dancing, costume contests and much more!

Dock Diving is a dog sport in which dogs compete in jumping for distance or height from a dock into a body of water. A team consists of one dog, of any type or size, and usually one handler but sometimes two handlers. Dogs must be over six months of age to compete. Handlers may use a toy, also known as the chase object. The dogs are not required to chase or retrieve the toy. For more information check out the Dock Dogs website.
In addition to the Dock Diving competition, Paws In The Park will host teams from across the nation competing in the US Dog Disc Nationals. There are several demonstrations planned throughout the weekend including Flyball, Agility, Obedience and Grooming.
Since 1991, the members of HCFDC and their high flying Frisbee dogs have thrilled tens of thousands of spectators in Houston and surroundings communities.
The HCFDC hosts several competitions and demonstrations each year and this year is starting off better than ever with Paws in the Park.
Saturday, March 29 will be a very popular and exciting event called "The Quadruped." It is a long distance competition, featuring two divisions (Men's and Women's). There will be Frisbees flying almost 100 yards in the Men's Open division and over 70 yards in the Women's Open division. Sunday, March 30 will be The Ashley Whippet Invitational.
PM Productions Entertainment will entertain furry fans (and their owners) of all ages with performances of "Pets Overboard!" This popular local show was created in 2006 as a stage show, featuring animals rescued from local shelters. It is a high-action, exciting show with fun for everyone. The show is pirate-themed and comes complete with scenery, costumes and a double-level elevated stage. The canine cast of "Pets Overboard!" has performed at themeparks, county fairs and festivals across Texas.
Performance times for "Pets Overboard!": 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
The mission of Pup Squad Animal Rescue is to rescue orphaned puppies and nursing litters from the streets, shelters and other life-threatening situations and match them with permanent adoptive homes, and to provide support and education to these adopters and the community at large. We will work with other community rescue efforts to promote spay/neuter, adoption and humane animal care to ultimately reduce the number of animals euthanized in Houston and surrounding areas.
