ABOUT The Stella Roberts Recycling Center is operated by Pearland Parks & Recreation and provides environmentally friendly disposal of materials for residents. Residents include citizens of Pearland, Brazoria County and the City of Friendswood for Hazardous materials disposal. Friendswood residents require a voucher for electronics disposal. Non-resident vouchers must be purchased at the Recreation Center & Natatorium (4141 Bailey Road). Credit cards payments are accepted for vouchers. Fees for non-residents are $50 per 100 lbs for Household Hazardous Waste and $20 per 100 lbs for electronics. The Recycling Center does not buy metals. We ask that you please not leave anything at the facility after business hours.
FREQUENT RECYCLERS The Frequent Recyclers program rewards Pearland residents who recycle consistently and frequently at the Recycling Center. Eligible items include paper, cardboard, aluminum cans, metal cans, glass and plastic. Upon visiting the center, customers will be given a punch card and receive punches each visit thereafter. Once the card has been punched six times, the customer will be asked to turn in the card, complete with contact information, into the Recycling Center staff. Each quarter a name will be drawn and the winner will receive a gift certificate to the Pearland Olive Garden Restaurant (2808 Smith Ranch Road). The Frequent Recyclers program is in partnership with Keep Pearland Beautiful.
ITEMS ACCEPTED Citizens are asked to separate recycle items into major categories to help us in our efforts to provide efficient and cost-effective services.
